I'm using a Kodak 5MP DX-7598 with 10x Optical Zoom for the past 3 years.
Most of my friends vote for Nikon model Digi SLRs - D80 is a good one. D300 is expensive. D40 is a slightly old model but still holds good for first timers of SLRs - D40 costs around $600.
Thank you for the info. After seeing some amazing pictures at a friends place, I asked him the same question, what SLR does he use, and he said he is using a Canon 6 MP point and shoot. Guess it is the person and not the camera. I am also a member of Marathadi and was reading your blog around Sujatha's demise and ended up in this blog. Good pictures Sundar. I enjoy your work.
